Russell Brand will be hosting MTV’s 2009 Video Music Awards for the second year in a row. Set to take place in New York City on September 13, this year’s show is sizing-up to be an interesting one, at the very least.
Beyonce Knowles and
Lady GaGa are tied for the most nominations, with 9 each. Beyonce announced her enthusiasm earlier, “I’m excited and honored to be tied for most nominated for the VMAs.”
Eminem and
Kanye West are also pitted against each other, as they are both up for four nominations in the same categories. Kanye has won a meek two Moonmen in past years, while
Eminem stands tall with 11 to his name.
Last year
