The producers of Broadway's Speed-the-Plow have filed an official grievance against Jeremy Piven, who abruptly ended his run in the show due to a high mercury count.
The complaint was filed with Actors' Equity, the union that handles Broadway stars, TMZ reports.
"The producers of Speed-the-Plow have officially filed a grievance with Actors' Equity [regarding] Jeremy Piven's departure," the show's producer Jeffrey Richards said in a statement. "A date for the arbitration is to be determined."

Piven left the show two months early, claiming he was suffering from mercury poisoning, which might have been caused by his diet of twice-daily sushi.
"He'd like to continue his role in Speed the Plow," his rep told Usmagazine.com, but "his doctors have advised him that he should end his run immediately."
Piven made his first public appearance since falling ill at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards, telling Us that his condition was "crippling.
"I think I'm going to lay pretty low," he told Us at the show. "I'm just kind of recovering. I'm getting better."
