ELTON JOHN WON'T PICK UP THE CHECK

ELTON John has a sense of humor - except when it comes to his money. The superstar singer was having dinner at the Tower Bar restaurant in LA with his husband, David Furnish, and chatting with fellow diners Alison Janney, Jennifer Aniston and Mick Jagger. John then put his bodyguards at another table next to Courteney Cox and David Spade, who yelled, "I hope he's picking up my check, too!" A spy said, "Everyone laughed but Elton."
