It's no secret that we love
"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", and we recognize the potentially life-saving role Danny DeVito played on that show. With him came some much-needed street cred and ratings. Oh, and an ass-out bonkers character with enough money to really let the
shenanigans start. Well, at least until his whore wife took it all away.
Here are 13 of Frank's greatest moments on “It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.”
"The Gang Gives Frank an Intervention"
Well, when Frank decides to go all out, he really pulls all the stops. We haven't seen anybody drink box wine out of a Diet Coke can since our elementary school art teacher. No comment on whether or not he tried to bang his sister-in-law. Or his niece.
"The Gang Gets Held Hostage"
Frank goes all Die Hard on the McBoyles, if Bruce Willis had a holster fastened out of duct tape and stuck to his back, that is.
"Who Pooped the Bed"
Frank gets it in his mind that poop is funny, and decides to take dumps in inappropriate places for an entire episode, including one right in front of everybody. He crapped his own bed for a laugh. Well, to be fair, season 4 was getting a little stale.
"The Nightman Cometh"
Poor Charlie accidentally wrote a play about rape. On the plus side, he also came up with a handy catch phrase to creep out your girlfriend with.
"The Gang Solves the North Korea Situation"
Frank manages to save the day and showcase the nips all in one big, wet show of heroism.
"The Gang Goes Jihad"
The first hint of Frank's complicated relationship with the people he met in 'Nam (ten years ago. On a business trip).
"The Gang Finds a Dumpster Baby"
Frank and Charlie delve deep into the world of dumpster diving, to the point where they have to live on the streets and wear a second coat to keep their first coat nice. You know, 'cause you've really got to keep that first coat nice.
"The Gang Sells Out"
Forming a gang is a pretty good way to intimidate people. Unless the gang is a bunch of really old people who like to play and sing. Although, old people are terrifying in their own special way that usually involves loose stools or really gross candy.
"Mac & Charlie Die"
Frank wants anonymous sex so very, very bad. It's easy to forget the relationship between these two characters, but just imagine having this conversation with your father.
"The Gang Exploits the Mortgage Crisis"
Frank is just out of control this entire episode. Note the way he tires to murder an entire family with an umbrella.
"The Great Recession"
Apparently a "fat neck" is enough to keep you from actually dying if you try to hang yourself. Also, this is probably the tallest Danny DeVito's ever been in his life.
"The Gang Gets Extreme: Home Makeover Edition"
You see what happens when you try to put Frank to work? He gets stabbed in the leg by a bunch of hostages. Just let him stay in the basement with his Vietnamese buddies where it's safe.
"The Gang Gets Whacked"
Danny DeVito makes just about the least intimidating pimp in the history of mankind. If he tried to slap you, you could just put a pillowcase over him and watch him struggle to get out. But when your man-whore is a total pussy none of that matters, and he does a pretty good job of turning Dennis.
