Miley reminisced on happy days with first true love,
Nick Jonas. A true puppy love pair, the two hadn’t even hit teendom when they first met, says Miley, “Nick and I were so young. We met when I was 12. I didn’t know who I was [yet].” Both Miley and Nick were on the cusp of Disney superstardom, with
Hannah Montana and
The Jonas Brothers band in the works. Their newfound stardom amplified the already dramatic trials of teenage love, and the relationship went up in flames. Miley
confessed her breakup with Nick was “really hard.” As they say, the first cut is the deepest. To this day, Miley believes, “We really did have a genuine love.”
Along came Justin Gaston, a sweet underwear model/singer with a
surprising wild side that intrigued Miley. The two connected
through their faith, and he even appeared on The Miley And Mandy Show on YouTube. She loved Justin’s free spirit: “He [Justin Gaston] was a good person, so carefree.” But Miley eventually got over Justin, and things took a turn for the worse. “I wasn’t [happy] last summer after I called it off with Justin and went away to film The Last Song. I cried all the way there,” she confessed.
Rumors swirled that Miley had dumped Justin because she
‘never truly got over’ Nick Jonas. The rumors were true. Miley
claimed the two ‘reconnected’ soon after her split from Justin. The paparazzi
spotted Nick wrapping his arms around Miley. But the reunion didn’t last. Miley found herself alone once again, without a boyfriend to support her as she launched her grown-up career with
The Last Song.
The
first day of filming The Last Song changed her life forever. Miley met Liam Hemsworth, a hunky Australian… who
had a girlfriend at the time. But nothing could keep them apart; Justin broke up with then-gf Laura Griffin and started dating
Miley Cyrus. Miley confessed, “The last thing I was expecting to do was to fall in love. I went there thinking the summer was about me and getting focused on my career. But I guess God was like, ‘Girl, here is this amazing guy’… All I know is that I am so happy right now.”
