New York ground to a virtual halt today as millions of Yankees fans flocked to Manhattan to join their heroes in the World Series celebrations.
The champions, including baseball greats Alex Rodriguez
and Derek Jeter, took part in a victory parade before heading to City Hall.
Formalities over, the team was expected to party the night away at an NY venue before, no doubt, heading off to the sun for some much needed rest.
