It’s Gus Van Sant directing “Breaking Dawn.” Because the third Twilight installment isn’t beneath the guy who did "Milk" and "Drugstore Cowboy." Although, reminding everybody about that Psycho remake could be a powerful bargaining chip.
Robert Pattinson has gone ahead and tapped Academy Award winning director, Gus Van Sant, to film the final edition of the
Twilight saga,
Breaking Dawn. At least, that’s who he told MTV that he would
like to work with.
“I probably shouldn’t say this but I’ve heard that we’re going to shoot it in Portland,” said Pattinson. “I think Gus Van Sant would be great to do it. He shoots everything in Portland. He’s good at making it look beautiful.”
He goes on to fawn over the director just a little bit more, “It’s all about teenage love and obsessions. I think Gus Van Sant would be great.”
No word yet from Van Sant’s camp as to whether or not he agrees with Pattinson, since he’s probably still wondering why anyone would think he would want to follow-up
Milk with
Twilight.
