Last night,Hollywood's finest braved the London rain for the sake of The BritishAcademy Film and Television Awards, which were held at the Royal OperaHouse.
Leading the pack of umbrella-toting celebs were Kate Winset and Penelope Cruz, who each won awards for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.
Mickey Rourke was happy to bag a BAFTA for Best Actor, while
Slumdog Millionaire stole the show (again), scoring seven honors including Best Film and Best Director.
Best Supporting Actor was bittersweetly awarded to Heath Ledger, while
The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttonwon three BAFTAs for stellar make-up, hair, production design, andvisual effects. As they damn well should have. Brad didn't look a dayover 25 or a minute under 55 at separate points during that otherwisedisappointing (in my opinion) movie.
Brangelina were up totheir usual subtle ass-grabbing antics while majestically walking thered carpet, and they were followed by a very red Sharon Stone (who apparently borrowed Victoria Beckham's girdle), flowery Alesha Dixon, and lovestruck Robert Downey Junior. Awww.
Enjoy 100+ photos of the BAFTA red carpet arrivals, including Dominic Cooper, Goldie Hawn, Meryl Streep, Thandie Newton, Emma Watson, Amy Adams, Emily Mortimer, Karolina Kurkova, Kristen Scott Thomas, Daniel Craig, Robert Downey Jr., Mickey Rourke, and Ron Howard.
